INTRODUCTION
The Panorama Psychiatry and Memory Clinic (PPMC) evaluates and treats patients with psychiatric and memory problems. The clinic is situated in Panorama, which is close to Cape Town in the province of Western Cape, South Africa.

CLINICAL TRIALS UNIT
The Panorama Memory Clinic Clinical Trials Unit was formed in 2002. We conduct sponsored clinical trials in psychiatry and specialise in the field of neuropsychiatry. This includes Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, head injuries with mild to moderate cognitive impairment, and other forms of dementia. We also conduct trials for other psychiatric diseases such as depression and anxiety conditions. Click here for more information.

SUPPORT GROUPS
Memory illnesses affect patients, families and friends. To help cope with this emotional strain we invite you to join us for professional and caring support groups. Our groups are structured so that both patients and families may be accommodated in an understanding and discreet manner. Older adult memory illnesses are accommodated in the Tuesday group (Alzheimer’s disease, and other dementias). In the Wednesday group we accommodate persons with head injuries, strokes and other brain injuries.

The support groups are free and are held once a month under the guidance of psychiatrists, counsellors and occupational therapists.
